What will you need to remember about this file in six months?
Usually a little: where it came from, why you kept it, which decision it supported, what changed, and which version mattered. Write it while the conversation is still fresh.

The familiar problem
“report-final.pdf” is still there. The email explaining “final” is not.
Give this matter a clear story.
- 01
Put the local files into the Package for the matter they belong to.
- 02
Record the source and when each important file was added.
- 03
Add a short explanation such as “client-approved final report”.
- 04
Keep what changed and which earlier version was replaced.
- 05
At delivery, retain the chosen version and the reason it was selected.

Come back without starting from guesses.
A later reader can follow the explanation without searching old email threads.
Keep this in mind when you continue.
Packtell does not infer every decision or observe every outside edit. Add missing explanations honestly; do not invent an earlier source.
If a file will not open
If a file will not open, check its device or storage, access and selected version. A visible name alone does not make the contents available.
