Your client should know exactly which files to use.
Working drafts, approved exports and internal notes often share a folder. Make one deliberate delivery with the right version, only the files that belong, and an explanation the client can use.

The familiar problem
Sending the entire working folder makes the client choose between five “final” files.
Give this matter a clear story.
- 01
Start from the working files and confirm the recipient and purpose.
- 02
Select the final version and include only what belongs to this delivery.
- 03
Leave internal drafts and unrelated private material out.
- 04
Add a README explaining the files, version, date and how to check the delivered set.
- 05
Hand over the set, then keep a record of exactly what was delivered.
Come back without starting from guesses.
The client knows where to start. Months later, you can still identify the exact handoff.

What goes with the files
- Contents
- Only the selected result files
- Version
- Approved final set
- Date
- Oct 2, 2026
- Explanation
- Start with README
- Verification
- Check the delivered contents
Keep this in mind when you continue.
A delivery record identifies the set sent. It does not establish contractual acceptance or certify the work’s quality.
If a file will not open
If a file will not open, check its device or storage, access and selected version. A visible name alone does not make the contents available.
